High Fidelity Wraparound Glossary

The Youth and Family Training Institute understands that there are words and acronyms/initials not understood by all. These are words and acronyms used not only in this website and with High Fidelity Wraparound, but also in the general vocabulary of those working with youth who have behavioral health challenges and their families.

Some terms are used more than others, and may be more understood. We do not want to assume anything, though, and we do not want anyone reading our website to not understand the Youth and Family Training Institute, or the High Fidelity Wraparound process.

In this section, you will find a glossary of many of the words and terms used in this website. In addition, we’ve included a list of all the acronyms and initials used that some feel are understood by all, but in reality are not. If there is something you read that you don’t understand or if you need more clarification, please do not hesitate to contact the Youth and Family Training Institute with your question at yfti@upmc.org or call 1-866-462-3292. If we don’t know the answer, we will find it out for you!
